Okay I know this might be a very off-topic subject, but it is related to Bitcoin.

I do not know if you guys know about the conspiracy, "New World Order"

If you do not know what the New World Order is:

As a conspiracy theory, the term New World Order or NWO refers to the emergence of a totalitarian world government.

The common theme in conspiracy theories about a New World Order is that a secretive power elite with a globalist agenda is conspiring to eventually rule the world through an authoritarian world government—which will replace sovereign nation-states—and an all-encompassing propaganda that makes the establishment of the New World Order the culmination of history's progress and an ideology. Significant occurrences in politics and finance are speculated to be orchestrated by an unduly influential cabal that operates through many front organizations. Numerous historical and current events are seen as steps in an ongoing plot to achieve world domination through secret political gatherings and decision-making processes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rc7i0wCFf8g

Now here is the question:

Is the New World Order happening? Are we all turning into one government? If so, is Bitcoin going to be the currency of the 'New World'? Is Bitcoin a setup into the New World?

Share your opinion!

The NWO is, according to the conspiracy, a very tight and centralized small group of people who want total control of the world for themselves.

Is this the definition of bitcoin or its antithesis?

Think.

Bitcoin is the counter poison for the NWO.

...what is mind-puzzling for me is that Bitcoin gets more positive and positive tones from mainstream media. Something's fishy.

Yah they need to build it up before they knock it down again, sells ad space. They are probably working on setting up a nice juicy politically involved sex ring for bitcoin story.

The government can definitely kill Bitcoin. If Bitcoin becomes illegal, the reputation and value of Bitcoin will then fall and be forgotten in the long run. Yeah there will be people who will secretly use it, kind of like drugs, but drugs are addictive; Bitcoin is not addictive.

I don't think that NWO or any govt would accept Bitcoin as their own currency, however the BTC protocol (or something similar) after some modifications (reversible transactions, colored/marked coins, blacklists, non anonymous wallets) would be the wet dream of any authoritarian system, so I see a bright feature for cryptos Smiley.

BTC (or something similar) could be the currency of the resistance, underground markets and the mob... after some modifications like full anonymity of course Smiley.

Hardly. Looks like more and more dilluting into a state of chaos. States formerly beeing whole fall apart into twos, with an additional inofficial government. Examples wanted? Take a look at Syria, Ukraine, Irak, Lybia ... to be continued.
The exact opposite development. Bitcoin is one of the bridges left that can transfer across these abysses. If you are living in a failed state, and don't know how to transfer currency value across the border, BTC is one that still works.

Has anyone considered that the "New World" simply refers to the Americas? Just like "old world" wines are from classic European regions and the "new world" wines are from the colonies.

So in that context, "New World Order" would just be big-headed Yanks gloating about US dominance over the rest of the world.

IMO the "Order" would simply be the combination of economic and monetary policies, treaties and agreements, military alliances, science and technology, and mainstream culture.

A "world government" would simply be superficial re-branding of the status quo. They, the US, basically are the world government by virtue of having the most power. There's no point in expecting a more dominant government to appear because the global anarchy doesn't work that way, except perhaps during a transition period.

My biggest fear for Crypto as a whole... The only way to outrun it, is to make it so easy and safe that adoption will happen sooner then prohibition. Ones it's adopted by the masses, propaganda against Bitcoin has less chance, because people know otherwise.

The government should give us at least one thing of total freedom and that should be this global digital currency called BITCOIN!

bitcoin is antifragile. the more they'll attack it, the stronger it will become.
but then, it could also be NSA's trojan horse.

edit: the thing about NSA is that they are intellectually above politics and banks. they understand things their archaical fathers dont. so i believe it to be the new generation of rulers. stealthier but kinda less greedy.

It's true that they do seem to have a few "Boy Scouts" who hate the politicians as much as we do. But I don't think you can rely on complete altruism from them.

i said less greedy. not altruist. because to fully excercise power/control you dont want to be blinded with excessive greed. otherwise people will just retaliate at some point. like kinda what is happening/going to happen.

edit: as sir francis bacon puts it: "knowledge is power"

and in advanced technological times.. politics and banksters will become obsolete. power to teh internetz Smiley
