YES! first off thanks so much for your replies, I DO have a Raspberry Pi and I AM trying to create an offline wallet with it. It appears to me that Armory offers the most complete solution to this, but the offline bundle they offer on their website requires exaclty 10.04 Ubuntu and I don't think that's able to be installed easily on a RPi (I'm a bit of a noob and am running Raspbian currently, which I think is version 7 of debian and I think incompatible with Armory).
@cybertrack, isn't there an issue with with installing bitcoin-qt on an offline computer? Won't it need to synchronize with the blockchain? Assuming this isn't an issue, what's the process for backing up the private key? I assume sending money to this new address wouldn't be terribly difficult, but how would I send money FROM it? Any link to a tutorial would be greatly appreciated.
@Sheldor333, YES! That's exactly what I want to do, I already have an RPi and am trying use it to create an offline wallet, but haven't found a tutorial yet that is clear or easy enough for me to feel comfortable doing it. That's why I liked Armory and wish to install that on the RPi. I understand the process and like that I can easily create a watch-only wallet for the offline one AND that its clear to me how I would send money FROM the offline wallet if I needed to.
Thanks again for your help
