Just received this morning my "account verification process" confirmation from MtGox...
Is that a good sign? A sign that they are going back to business as usual progressively ?

Nothing is sure, but I'd rather see them die off completely.

Thanks for sharing OP!

Pretty interesting in light of yesterdays' news!

Account Verifications are usually manually processed - Perhaps automated at Gox??

I'm choosing to remain unbiased regarding MtGox and possible insolvency - I know SEPA withdrawals are continuing to go through (1.5 month turnaround, standard Gox delay) and OKPay deposits too (8Hr turnaround)

Some dude posted a possibly confirmed external BTC transfer from Gox (don't know whether legit?) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=484296.0

If I was unsolvent I would also verify accounts.
It is the only way for them to get fresh cash.

But they're doing it rather slow, are they not?

Or they dont have any other options.
Last resorts are always confusing and illogical.

I do sympathize with those that still have some funds tied up in the whole Mtgox fiasco.. However, at the same time I am sickened by people's unwillingness to let go...

Gox may or may not resume operations, they may or may not return our precious coins... Ultimately, who cares? All this is doing is casting a murky shadow over our community and spreading fear and trepidation - which can only serve to deter new adopters.

Mark Krabapples has shat all over our community and all we are doing is adding fuel to his trickery and deceit.

Really... Shame on you guys!

There are dozens of other Exchanges out there... Do the due diligence and choose one to do business with. simples

What is not "simples" is getting our money out of Gox so we can do exactly that.

I do agree with the "unwillingness to let go" part.
People need to wake up and smell the burning bitcoins. MtGox is gone, there is no proof or information of anything else.
The faster people "let go" of MtGox (abandon ship) the faster the market will recover and new systems and solutions will blossom.
As they say, desperation is the mother of creativity.

You and me also bro... We're both in the same boat.

You're not going to get your funds back by ranting on bitcointalk though... That's guaranteed.

Even the guy that flew over to Japan to confront Krabapples face to face, was basically told that he can go to hell and burn there.

This is a brand new industry with virtually no regulations in place, and we're the voluntary lab-rats. Maybe we'll get our money back, maybe not.
