Greetings everyone,

So today/yesterday, I got to experience the infamous BTC-e delay when sending some BTC to it. I had heard before something about LTC being delayed when transferring it over. Well, took faster for LTC to appear on my account than BTC needless to say. It was nice to be able to finally utilize exchanges to exchange for other currencies. Problem was the time to get my BTC in. Took well over 8 hours for it to hit my account. Sucks as I took a hit (15%) buying into FTC when I could have had them immediately, I'd be okay and happy with BTC-e. But I am not. Not sure why the delay, but I am here to share that there is a delay time frame that seems to be pretty high, despite the notice when getting the address to deposit into BTC-e, they let you know that the confirmation time might be on the shorter end, one hour, or up to three days (god forbid o_O).

I am not saying they are horrible, but am curious what other alternatives are there to BTC-e? So what has you're experience been with BTC-e and if you have any other suggestions? Are there some alternative ways to speed up the confirmation time? Got a tip or secret, share it so others too can utilize it. And I am not talking about using the search key to find them here, because I want to hear about your experience as well, and not just a thumbs up or a poll.

I have only used BTC-e to exchange some NMC into BTC some 10 days ago - went super fast and no problems. However I am also looking for a more more "reliable" exchange bay.

Any suggestions from the guru's?
