Didn't realize I was old

I bought my first bitcoin yesterday. I was just now reading the age polling post. I wanted to post my age(62) but was unable since I guess I'm a newbie. So either I'm unique or old people are starting to buy bitcoins. Also, I mentioned it to my 84 yr old father who after googling it thought he'd buy some as well.

I don't want to be ageist but I find it admirable that you're knowledgeable in forums and bitcoin at 62. Interesting how someone as young as 17 and old as 62 will be interested and talking about the same thing, sometimes unknowingly.

yes, it's a good thing that people of all ages learn and adopt BTC.. if we see more 50ish year olds adopt it, then we'll have a pretty good indicator of how well it will proliferate.

I'm a bit younger 54 and getting my dad up to speed on it also. He is ex-telco engineer we both got into the PC world together in the 70's (me as a kid)
