Have you ever seen a riser that stop working before cos I've not, most times it's always the usb cable that follows the riser, changing that will solve the problem instantly unless the riser is a victim of burnt case

In fact, raisers have a lot of problems, and the main problem is not quality production. If you buy poor quality raisers, you won't be able to easily find the cause. You should always have spare raisers for quick replacements.

The cables get more problems than the risers itself but still I depends on the riser type, I find the 009 to be better than most but since few years of mining I haven't get a completely dead riser before, things tend to work once you replace the usb cable

Up until late the version 009s has been the best for me and I am still using them. Some of my friends though are using these new risers, new version 010 without any letter behind and they have four led lights for easy troubleshooting,my friends have said to me these are the best risers,I do not have any of these myself but I think I should trust them as I have only seen good reviews about these latest generation risers.Usually good versions come with good quality cables

There is that saying that I got 99 problems and a bad riser is all of them though which indicates that best motherboards without such problems are branded (not chinese non branded) motherboards with 6 x  x16 Pciex slots for eliminating the riser problems.

The newer risers are the best, they have more flashy lights on them and they support molex, 6 pin and sata connection on them, I think the cable that comes with this riser is more reliable than those from 006 risers

It's usually just a bad connection, just reconnecting can fix it. The PCIe tab has no lock so it
can easilly work loose.

Yes the cables that they supply with these risers are horrible quality. They got bad shielding and if you got tons of rigs can cause interference. One reason why WiFi always gives trouble.

If you have them long enough in a hot area, and you try to bend the cable you will see it will start to crumble a little.

And they also got bad pins inside the actual connector. If you plug it in more than once, sometimes the second time the pin doesn’t contact the other pin on the riser side.

I think this is a power/riser issue. Your PSU is not providing enough power or its trying to but trips over and over again. If you hear chirping noises from your psu its most likely the case.

No single chriping noise at all, if that's the case why did the riser keeps working after swapping with a new usb cable? Now the rig is working for a whole week now nonstop, those risers comes with bad USB cables that's what I believe.
