Help needed with GUIMINER - deepbit

Workers not connected on deepbit.

I installed Guiminer yesterday, it worked somehow with deepbit. Went AFK, came back only to see that the program froze. rest of the evening workers didnt connect but deepbit recognised an average hashrate. at some point the workers were connected.

why isnt this working properly?  sometimes it does, sometimes it doesnt. i've started it up today and for two hours now still workers arent recognised.

Please advise, I know very little of command boxes and such, I just have gtx260 and free electricity and wish to get this running properly so i can leave my house and return to see it still working.

I'm sorry for posting this since i know its been covered a million times, but i cant find any useful anwsers anywhere and its getting frustrating.

So now, after 3 hours since i started the program, now workers are connected, i did nothing it just changed status.

can someone explain to me how this works? do i have to wait 3 hours every time i start up before its recognised?
