Hello all! I have simple idea.

There are a lot of trolls on this forum. Some are bears, some are bulls, but all make wild, disingenuous claims to either side ("$10k before February!" "We will drop to $100 soon"). These claims are obviously not truly held by the posters, and I have tried to get posters to accept a bet to see if they really are so sure of their prediction.

My proposition is for a price speculation forum or application that requires a bet for all predictions. There would be freedom of discussion, but any hard speculation would require a minimum BTC bet (0.01 or something) that any user would be able to call it.

Thoughts?

My thoughts are that you should man up and stop being a cry baby every time you see someone speculating against your position.

I like the idea. It would sure weed out all the baseless rants. However, I don't know if this forum would be able to implement that system or not.

There are a couple websites already that offer this service:

My position is Earth. I think the cry babies should man up and accept a bet if they choose to live anywhere else.

After looking at your posting history, it is clear to me why you would rather live in a world without consequences. Grin

My point is similar to yours, however: people in this forum (yourself included) speculate based on their position. This would force users to speculate based on what they believe at this moment.

Yeah good luck with that. This is the speculation forum, there is no other place on the planet better suited for wild speculation on bitcoin's future. If you don't like it, then just stop reading those threads.

... right, that is the point of this thread. I agree, and this is unfortunate. Cheesy

I think fixing a signal v. noise issue in speculative discussion where all parties have a vested interest in some event happening would be interesting. If you disagree, just stop reading this thread.

I didn't want to spoil it for you but i will. It's not going to happen and your proposition is obviously beyond ridiculous.
Grab a box of tissues and good luck.

I'm sorry if the crash put angry bulls like you in a bad mood. Would you care to make a bet about your prediction? Cheesy
