As the title says it seems like the wall client is stuck on the last block in the chain. every time the chain increases it catches up but the client is forever stuck on synchronizing 1 hour behind even though it'll have the exact number of blocks as shown here http://blockexplorer.com/q/getblockcount its been 2 days since it should have finished

If you have always latest blockcount in Bitcoin QT as indicated by http://blockexplorer.com/q/getblockcount you maybe just have bad time on your computer ?

Close bitcoin qt and open it again. Do it for more times until you are sync with the blockchain. Sometimes, it may happen to someone.

as far as the time goes. i have the exact time as shown by both of my cell phones and a government website but it does keep poping up a message about make sure my time is correct or it may not work. i assumed this was a default message though.

and opening and closing it doesn't help. its still just acting like it doesn't know what to do. it keeps the final block i the chain updated though which is strange. every time it grows so does my number. iv rebooted several times to no avail either

i also forwarded the port 8333 and rebooted my router in case that was the issue. doesn't do anything either

Make sure the time zone and daylight savings time values are set correctly in your computer.  These values are used to adjust your local time to UTC.

Maybe you have connected to very slow peers.
You may try to close the program, and then open it again, to see if it helps.
