Welcom to the wonderful world of crypto and my tip would be to do your homework.  You don't want to be getting caught out there playing with your dingy and lose a bunch of money if you catch my drift nudge nudge.  Wink

You have to buy peercoins with some other coin, but because you dont have any, your best bet is mine with your computer

You might be able to buy something here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 then use an exchange like Cryptsy to change to peercoin. Just be carefull and only deal with reputable people or use an escrow.

Peercoins are not bad just really depends on if you are using a decent ATI video card or if you are using ASIC miners to do your mining. If you really want to look at some comparisons for different coins and types and be able to break down what your potential profits are I normally use CoinWarz
http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/peercoin-mining-calculator/?h=4000.00&p=500.00&pc=0.10&pf=0.00&d=25623874.95770120&r=140.53851712&er=0.00530284&hc=0.00

Might help you decided if Peercoins will be profitable for you or now.
