I've been lurking here for awhile now and thought it was about time I finally registered, looks like a good helpful site. I've been interested in bitcoins for a year or so now but didn't really pay as much attention as I should have until recently.

I finally created a wallet and have been trying to earn some btc through various faucets etc to help get the hang of it all before buying any. (somehow I earned just 4p after a good few hours  Embarrassed and the other sites seemed to have ridiculously high withdrawal limits).

Anyway just thought i'd stop by and say hi, I'm looking forward to learning more about bitcoins and alternative currencies.  Grin

This forum is probably the best site to earn and learn about bitcoins. Good luck!

Long time lurker here as well. I've been dabbling in BTC since 2011, but have only recently begun serious mining and trading. The forums here are pretty helpful for people looking to get in the game! Grin

Another lurker here. Have looked into mining in 2011, even created a wallet and setup a few things. However didn't go through as I figured out I had to invest in a faster GPU.
At that time I didn't have the money to spend on that and forgot about it till 3 months ago.

Mining is now so expensive that I just invested in cryptos and don't care to mine. It would basically require Bitcoins to double every 6 months or so to make it profitable.

I also bought Peercoins as I like the proof of stake model. That way you can get more peercoins over time without doing the mining.
