Collaboration with business community

Why isn't their more of an effort of these newer alt-coins to get a business plan together?  Many of these alt-coin websites explain proof of concept and e-security.  But other aspects are really vague, such as their impact on e-commerce and business implementation.  Shouldn't these agreements be in place before launch?
