I am putting small amounts into BTB as I have been doing, I can't believe that nobody else has figured out the main advantage to BTB vs all the other currencies, but eventually word will leak out... whoever puts some into it and rides the waves of inflation and deflation that are shortly to hit the currency, they will get rich, but of course so will the miners (maybe I said too much, I should stop here)

Bitbar is a rather unique altcoin that could do very well in the future!

How is it unique?

1. Intriguing name
2. Dynamic check-pointing
3. By far the most compact blockchain, which may be a major advantage in the future as other blockchains grow exponentially larger.
4. Not very many people can own their own Bitbar since they are so rare.  Whether or not this is logical as an investment basis is irrelevant.

It has room for improvements but I think it will do very well in the altcoin boom.

I cashed out of BTB and made some good $...

What it really needs I IMO is a reset and hard-fork with a competent dev to take it over. I can help with the marketing, as I really think it has legs, the problem with the early mining being that the majority of the coins are so centralized is a huge concern, as it the lack of deep support in the community, but with the right person at the helm, it could easily surpass BTC

I have an artist willing to do artwork for it, and a dev that will do an ios wallet, if we put a few more people together, it can easily become the currency to hold.

good grief...this still?

let it die

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

Is there anything different with cryptogenic bullion? Or is this just another scam coin which is marketed as a commodity?

Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.
