Not really.  The owner put that in there to prove it was him at #bitcoin-otc.  His handle is jjjrmy.  Nice kid.  I've done business with him and he's ok.

I would too, as this shows that he doesn't know what he is doing. That should have either been a HTML comment, or placed in a hidden file that only people who have the URL to it could see it.

No, I was not hacked. I did that just to auth on IRC and jokeingly they told me to keep it up. I only took it down after people contacting me thinking my site was hacked.

I've used bitegg.net just fine and will use again.  I don't see anything wrong with his use of humor as reflecting on that status on his site.
