Hi

This is probably good for Hyde Park Smiley
I'm newbie in coins, mining etc. ->  I'm sorry if I say any stupidity  Roll Eyes

If I understand correctly, mining consists in calculating the cryptographic hashes that are not anyone to do anything you need?

Would not it be better to link the coins mining of calculating something of value such as Seti or cancer research?

Coins would be assign (paid) for processed a data packet.

It would have been much more difficult to build such a system of coins, but more useful and more enjoyable Smiley

Sorry for my poor English and little knowledge in the field of coins

What do you think about?

If a similar idea recently fell on the forum I'm sorry for repeat

If only.

I heard it was something to do with proof of work, that things like folding@home would be exploitable to fake shares. Not sure on the technicals.

I only wish I was mining Bitcoin back when I was using BOINC. I'd be loaded.

Let me know if I am doing something right. Smiley

@Anubite
