I have a spare 30 amp 2 pole breaker I would like to use as a dedicated mining circuit for my garage. My idea is to run 240v to a NEMA L6-30R receptacle. Then to a pdu, and then to my rigs. Am I right in thinking I need one of these
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0093WFT6G/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for each of my psu's to connect to the pdu? Also, because I am running 240v does this mean my amps per rig will be less? Say a 1200 watt rig, connected to 120v, runs at about 11 amps. That same rig would run at 5 amps on 240v.
So a 30 amp breaker at 120v could safely run about 2 * 1200 watt rigs, while that same 30 amp breaker at 240v could about 5 * 1200 watt rigs. Is this correct? I am unsure which pdu I would need, as I know nothing about them. Any adice would be appreciated.
