I am interested in buying a few bitcoin .
I read and viewed a lot of stuff on the web and decided a paper wallet is probably best for safe storage .
so I went through the steps and created a paper wallet , all offline of course .

so now I have it  , there is nothing inside it and it has never seen the network , so my question is can I view it , or will I only be able to view it once it has something in it ?

Yes, on   blockchain.info
You may consider how paper wallet work with small amount first, so you are confident using it
For example sending to paper wallet, import priv key to blockchain.info or your bitcoin client and send it

yes I plan to do that soon ,  as soon as I get a bit of coin I will give it a try , it's just the first run is going to be a nit of a learning curve to try and find out exactly whats going on .

I have another question ( scenario )
let's say I have .5 bitcoin in my wallet and I need to send .25 bitcoin to someone .   then after I send the .25 bitcoin to the other person , do then need to move my remaining 2.5 bitcoin to another one of my paper wallet addresses for it to be protected ??
i read about private keys being vunerable after they have been used .

can somebody shed any light on it please

Regards

First of all, if you have 0.5BTC and you send 0.25BTC, your remaining balance would be 0.25, not 2.5!!!  Huh
don't worry then. If you have your wallet encrypted with a strong password, it would take years to bruteforce it.

I really want my coin multiply when I send some...  Grin
you can use same wallet...no worries.
what about people having a business? should they have a wallet per transaction?
takes a day just to download the blockchain...
