Proposed Revaluation of the US Dollar

Clearly dealing with spiraling zeros on the end of the current BTC price is difficult for newbies, awkward to type and is generally bullshit.

There is one obvious solution: revalue the dollar with one New Dollar = $1000 (or one thousand "bucks" as they are presently known)

To achieve this, I propose we collectively petition the Fed and/or Obama.

I think as long as you can still buy things for 1 dollar this not an urgent problem

when the situation arises that the cheapest thing you can buy is 100 dollar or something, then it really makes sense to take some zero's off

because all those zeros are psychology unpractical to compare prices , bitcoin suffer from the same thing by the way too many zero's after the dot, dollar suffer from to many zeros before the dot lol.

Changing the base unit would cause a lot of confusion; I think we're better off using kilodollars (kUSD). Or to prevent having to change units again soon after that, we could skip right to bernankes (1 bernanke = 100,000,000 USD).

Pointless? Back when Italy still had the Lira, 1 dollar was worth like 2000 lire, but it was not a problem. Banknotes ranged from 1000 to 100.000 lire.
