DIY avalon

Greetings, where would i turn if i would like to build my own Avalon Asic??  I should be able to get my hands on all the parts (ie the chips and pcb), but it is beyond my expertise to build one.  I have basic computer knowledge and can run windows and build a computer.  What i cannot find though are resources that explain how to build an Asic with Avalon based chips
