The perils of the digital currency Bitcoin have been revealed in a not-so-daring heist pulled off during a live TV broadcast.

I call this a pure white hat move.  The newscaster accidentally put the QR code on the air, so anybody could have taken that money.  It is *STUNNING* that the first guy who did was the one guy out of a thousand or so who would give the money back.

Applause all around, folks.  That's a class act of protecting the idiot from himself, as opposed to a thief taking advantage of an idiot.

It was on Bloomberg. As much as they like to attack Bitcoin they should have kept the money.

Read the link carefully. The amount stolen was not 22 BTC, but 0.027 BTC, which was worth $20.

And the thief offered to return the BTC, but the news anchor told him that there is no need to do that and he can keep the BTCs with him.

And yes, it is nice to have some honest people here, it is such an extreme rarity.

Wink What a cute heart warming story, the dummy news anchor loses his bitcoins and the white hat hacker decides to give them back
while the news anchor refuses.

ok, no such thing as bad publicity and any publicity especially about bitcoin on any channel on TV is good news for btc, maybe this stunt

because i assume thats what it was a publicity stunt caused btc to go up lol?
