No. Not anymore. Faucet are usefull only for newly created currencies such as dogecoin, namecoin, earthcoin, etc...
For bitcoin you will make maybe 0.1 cent after spending few hours. Altough it can be usefull to show someone how semple it is to make some bitcoin transaction.

Its more profitable to work in McDonald's and then put your wages into bitcoins than waste hours on faucets.

Something for nothing in what we call "the real world" does not exist.

If you make that your rule of thumb on the internet, too, you won't be hugely disappointed if your shitload of gold does not arrive on your doorstop  Grin

However, if you put in the time and effort, you can make moneys on the web.

If you want freebies, you might as well go beg in the street. It's basically the same thing.

It will take forever. And 90% of them work with coinbox.me. And they wait until you reach xxx before they release it to you.

I found that a lot of websites tend to waste your time as they have unrealistic payouts/fees or are horribly broken and some of them are flat out scams.

I recently launched a website to help weed out the bad ones, check out http://lootbitcoin.com/. It lets people vote on the best ones and all the current websites I've personally checked, which I intend to keep doing with each new submission.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll see if I can get a payout from them using their site and update if not. I like the idea of the payment proof section, might toy around with some ideas to work this in. Any suggestions on what you would like to see as proof, like a similar voting system or something?

That will take some time. Put your hand in your pocket and buy it instead. It will save you time and effort in the long run.

Yes, but it takes FOREVER!

There is an address used only for faucets, and it's made a tiny bit. It just took forever, and the payouts from faucets are much lower than they were a year ago.

I played around with a few faucets when I first started out but honestly it just wasn't worth it in the end.

Much easier and better to just invest some cash if you can afford it IMO.

Freebitco.in is the only free source worth using, I don't hit it up with any regularity but I've managed to get above the lowest payout a couple times. The key is to not gamble it all away before Monday rolls around and they payout to your wallet
