Hi everyone,

I've been mining doge the past couple of days on gentoomen, while it worked well initially, the site seemed to stop paying out sometime yesterday.
Earlier today, a notice came up at the top of the website stating they were having errors since their migration to the new server. A few hours ago, the pool was taken down, does anyone know what happened to it?

I've switched my miners to use another pool in the meantime.

You should check out doge.installgentoo.com!

Total hash of like 37MH/s and when rewards hit, they've been pretty lucky in size!

Taken from the site
---

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT, POSTED DEC 22, 2013 AT 03:27 BY NAOSIA
I'm sad to announce that the Gentoomen doge pool will be taken offline permanently.

As you've probably noticed, the pool has been incredibly unreliable for the last week or so. Our web frontend being down became the rule rather than the exception, user payouts had to be put on hold for hours on end, statistics were often wildly inaccurate, etc.

After spending a sizeable amount of money on a new and improved infrastructure for the pool, we had high hopes of our performance issues disappearing. It turned out throwing hardware at the problem wasn't going to fix a thing, and within 2 hours we were back to where we started.

We made the decision to shut down the pool after yet another issue with user payouts was discovered. We decided that the amount of work required to sustain operation would be too large, and as such we shut down stratum effective immediately.

The web frontend will remain functional until 23:59 UTC the 24th of December 2013, after that no further payouts will be processed.

The missing payouts from the last hours are being processed right now, and should be finished within an hour or two.

Best regards,

The Gentoomen pool operators

I was lucky to check this site by chance and realise that they're going to shut their site down. I requested a manual payout; otherwise, I would lose all my coins.
