Like the title says I have been lurking for months and just never got around to making an account until now. A little about me; I am an investment banker who jump on the bitcoin van wagon back in September 2012. Learned a bunch over this hectic year and willing to share some info and my opinion if anyone wants to hear it.

Happy Holidays and bitcoining!  Grin

I felt like someone was watching me [us].  Welcome to the forum.  You made a wise choice to start your posting now.  That way when you have real need to post you will be able to.

Well hopefully you bought some BTC in Sept 2012, when they were $10 (or even $8).  I know I did. :-)

Thanks for the warm welcome!

And yeah I did, they were about $10 each back then.  Cool

I'm new here as well and have been lurking for about the past month. Been interested in Bitcoin for about three months, but unfortunately decided to invest in mining hardware pre-orders rather than buying and holding BTC (which I've since learned has matched or outperformed mining).

Here's to learning and enjoying the ride! Smiley

Previous lurker checking in here too. I've been following BTC for years. Mined a bit (< 1 BTC) back in the day, and bought a few at this last boom. Looking to start doing some dev work with BTC.

Pity about the restrictions to newbies but I understand the reasons.

I've known about bitcoin for a couple of years but never did anything. Busy with other stuff and a bit intimidated by the whole mining element.  I'm kicking myself for not simply buying. Now I'm looking at dogecoin. Any opinion on that currency?
