I got my hardware online a week before Xmas - only small fry (2x7850 + 1x6870) to begin with until my 2x7950 arrive in a couple of weeks. So currently mining at 1GHs and eventually hope to be mining at 2.5GHs.
I've played around mining with a few coins so far on pools - Earthcoin, DogeCoin, Diamond and a few others and tried out solo mining on Emerald - made 15 coins on that one in a few hours. Also setup a Cryptsy account and trading coins back to BTC. Lost out 20% when I traded out to DOGE but back in BTC, and now mining DOGE on
http://doge.scryptpools.com/.
So far it's been a blast and made a few $$ but nothing too much because of my lowly hashing power.
