I intend to mine some altcoins, and I am also considering an option to buy some cheap ASIC, because I don't want to mine with my notebook. Is it good idea? Can it be used to mine all SHA-256 altcoins, or just some of them? If only some of them, which ones?

Thank You very much in advance.

http://www.coinwarz.com

Put in your SHA-256 hashrate, uncheck the "scrypt" section at the top, it will show you most of the available ASIC-mineable coins and what you'll make each day mining them.
