I wouldn't say the Union Bank is the largest in the Philippines, but they are very active because as far I can remember, they are the first bank to integrate Paypal payment scheme through their cards in the country. I'm just confused though because the article says that the Bank doesn't confirmed if they are going to do mining and what they showcase is not a bitcoin mining hardware. Another note to be taken is that the Philippines is one of the country which electricity is very steep so I don't know if bitcoin mining is suitable plus the climate is not friendly as well.
