Hey folks! Was wondering if a way to "decrease" GPU usage through command like in cgminer (mining LTC on another rig 6770x2). I tried setting to low priority but nothing. I am getting around 70 celcius which may not seem bad but this is primarily my gaming putter and don't want to shorten the life of my GPU to much. Also perhaps lower voltage?

Cheers!

OMG - sorry for double post...my profile said I didn't have any posts and I can't delete Sad

I have the same question.  My dual graphics cards are running too hot for my liking.

I cant see any way to change the intensity in the Readme of the latest version.
Perhaps using the -i parameter set to 1 will assist a little depending the situation.

cdogster with two cards - perhaps only run one of them using the -d option.

You need a refrigerant air conditioning.

With cudaminer the -l setting is SMX Units x Processes Per SMX (32 max on Keplar).

Originally I was using 16x10(160) to get the best hash rate on my card, and it ran hot always at 79 degrees.

After looking up that I had 5 SMX units x 32 Max per SMX (5x32 = 160). I get the same 210Khs, but run at around 65-72 degrees.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for that comment.

How do I determine my card's # of SMX units and processor per SMX?  I have the GeForce GTX 580:
