How to get IGNIS tokens from the snapshot?

The snapshot has taken place, so the next logical question is, how do I obtain my IGNIS tokens that should show up on 00:00:00 UTC 01/01/2018.

From https://www.ardorplatform.org/ignis—first-childchain  -  "The Ardor production software release will be done shortly after the snapshot, with the blockchain scheduled to start exactly on Jan 1, 2018, 00:00:00 UTC"  -  That is 18:00:00 CST on 12/30/2017. Do I need to find the Ardor production software? I have looked and so far have been unsuccessful.

I found this in the IGNIS Airdrop FAQ:

"7.8 How do I access my IGNIS tokens after Ardor is launched?
Login to an Ardor node using your existing NXT account and switch to the Ignis chain"

I do not know how to login to an Ardor node using my existing NXT account to switch to the Ignis chain. I am very new to all this and just created my NXT wallet a couple days ago and am not finding anything helpful using Google.

Can any of you point me in the right direction for a clearer explanation on how to gain access to the IGNIS tokens?

So there is no preparation that can/needs to be done prior to the Ardor platform launch which is supposed to be after 01/01/2018?

nope, just wait until ardor is released and log in into the child chain. the answer can be found in the picture.......

What will be the Ignis token useful for? I see that those who wanted to get it for free and bought Next for that had then to endure the pleasure to see their Next coins halved in value...

That's true, however, if you look at IGNIS futures at https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ignis/ you will see they are currently at $13+ with a high early this morning of $28.25. It was around $3 during the snapshot. It will be interesting to see what happens on the 1st of 2018!!

Thanks for this man. I have really been looking for ways to get my hands on these famous altcoin ignis. Because a lot of my friends has been talking about this and looking at the infos, i think the ideology of this altcoin is pretty great. I will surely be reading more about this altcoin. Just to be sure. And if i see something that i like i will really jumo into this since i just need a little more push to get me to give in into this altcoin. Again, thanks man.
