Coinjar - over 1 month and my bank acct has yet to be approved

plus over 2 weeks since I sent in a request for support to respond on the matter.

Is this the normal standard for Coinjar?

Never heard of Coinjar - if they don't respond to your emails I wouldn't feel confident sending them any BTC or fiat.

Want to send bitcoin in to their acct, then cash it out for fiat.
