Hey so I ordered a gridseed blade recently from Zoomhash and the box was empty. I was wondering if anyone that has a gridseed blade can weigh it for me so I can dispute the charge with paypal. My empty gridseed box and package weighs 2lbs from me holding it on a bathroom scale (which is probably inaccurate). The shipping weight had a note on it saying that it wasn't the shipped weight, so I contacted DHL who shipped it and they said that it was 2.5lbs. So can someone please weight a gridseed blade and tell me how heavy it is?

Before you do all this, just hearing this.

Have you tried to contact them 1st? They seem to have a good record of keeping to deliver products.

Its also possible that DHL had someone open up packages or whichever they hand it to..cause that stuff happens as well and repackaged it.

Yeah, I have contacted them. That was the first thing I did when I found out. It's been 6 days so far and they seem to just keep saying "This has never happened." and "Please wait."
DHL states that the weight of the package that they measured is 2.5lbs and the weight I measured on a bathroom scale of the box was 2.0lbs. I am starting to think they stiffed me, unless an employee of DHL stole it and changed the weight in the system.

I dont understand why the weight matters here. They said they send you the miner, but it is not in the package when you received it.
You are btw allowed to check this the moment the package arrives. Just for the future. Even though the deliveryperson will sometimes tell you otherwise. It is your right to check the content of the package in front of the person who delivers it before you sign for it.
It is also not your responsibilty to track down the miner. It is allways the responsibilty of the person that has the contract with the deliverycompany (in this case DHL). Since you did not order DHL to deliver the package to you, it is the duty of zoomhash to take care of this. This can take several weeks, sometimes month. So a good partner will just send you a replacement and get the rest sorted out with DHL. Refund by weight will be 1 SDR per Kg, which currently is 1.54 USD ( http://www.imf.org/external/np/fin/data/rms_sdrv.aspx ). This will probably not happen since you should have a proof of value a bill or an order or similar. However DHL will not clear the loss with you as they have no contract with you.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

It matters since I am going to charge it back on my CC. I need information to prove that zoomhash is fraudulent.
FYI my stupid roomie signed for the package, so I couldn't inspect it with the carrier present. Otherwise I would of done exactly that.

I thought Zoomhash was legit?

Has anyone experienced your scenario as well? or is this a unfortunate incident with shipping carriers.

Hello,

I just looked at my first blade box from ZoomHash and the stated weight was 1Kg (2.2lbs).  All of my shipments have come from Hong Kong via DHL.  No problems at all.

Hope that helps.

EDIT: sorry I don't have a scale

The difference is that you actually got something in your box.

Op is referring he cant make any claim for the charge back since, the fraud claim requires it.

Have you tried contacting DHL`s support? I know its a pain the ass, but that seems the only way.

I have contacted DHL support and all they will give me is information about the shipment. The information they provide says that zoomhash never sent anything in the box. DHL states that the box was about 1.2kg weight. I have measured all the boxes with a bathroom scale and the weight is about that amount. I have a close friend who has a gridseed blade that weighed it for me and it weighed 1.5kg so from that information the box with the gridseed should be about 2.7kg.

Now zoomhash will not answer any of my emails. They stated that they have an ip/location track on the device and that he personally gave the package to the DHL carrier. From the label on the package they use a major china logistics company to ship them out, which probably have a few hundred of them in a warehouse and the company just slaps a shipping label when they sell one.
