I have an idea for a Bitcoin Gaming (Casino) Project.

I'm interested to launch a 13 Card Poker platform (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_poker) that accepts cryptocurrencies (with bitcoin to start with). Here are some reason why I think it will work:

  • The demand for the game is rather high in Asia, although I am unsure of other countries. In 2011, an agent-run poker platform in the South East Asian market, Bet2, gained a steady stream of players and was running for about 1 year. They also offered Chinese Poker tables, and during this time, I noticed that Chinese Poker tables were running almost 24/7!
  • Each game is played by 2-4 players and typically lasts about 1-2 minutes. We profit by collecting rake (commission), and hence there is 0 risk as we do not bet against the user. The quick game time also allows for higher turnover.
  • More notably, Open Face poker has been picking up steam especially in the United States since early this year, with several Poker sites now offering Open Face poker to their customers. This will be the next project in line after our first version.
  • I have been in the Poker scene in my hometown for the last 5 years. Although we largely play holdem/omaha, many of them love to gamble, and there is a niche market available for the game. With my previous connections, and 2 other friends who are interested in this, we will be able to do some offline marketing and affiliate marketing in a few countries in South East Asia.
  • It is a niche market, and as such, will be much easier to do online marketing. Competition for the relevant search terms are low, so be it SEO, SEM, or organic marketing will be much easier.
  • I have experience with setting up 3 businesses over the last 6 years. One of them failed, but I have succeeded in two, one of which is still ongoing. I am a major in Business Development, and Online & Social Media Marketing, and believe I'll be able to gather the necessary resources to get this project on the road.

I have already found a suitable developer for building the gaming end of the site. This will cost US$15k++ and I will be covering the cost myself. I am looking for an investment of 6.13BTC as a judge of market demand for the product, as well as to give you a chance to be an investor in our business, and to cover some of my marketing and operational costs over the first few months.

I am offering a profit share of 10% among investors who invest more than 1.3 BTC in this project. For more information about the game itself, the idea, and more about my role in the project, visit my Bitcoinstarter project at https://bitcoinstarter.com/projects/477.

Investment aside, we're also looking for a developer who is interested to partner up with us on this project. The developer we are hiring is an expert at casino games management, but lack the necessary skills to maintain the security of our platform and are not well-versed in handling Bitcoin integration. As such, I will need someone to oversee the technical/development aspect of the platform, as well as to help me better understand the security required for such a project.

If you have questions or comments, please feel free to leave a reply, or drop me a PM!
