I've studied the ideas around BitDNS and Namecoin, and now have come across cjdns. Is anyone actively working in this area? cjdns has some interesting ideas in terms of getting rid of IP addresses, but I believe Namecoin is a much better system in terms of arriving at a consensus, i.e. dealing with stuff more than say 95% don't want on the net but still have majority decentral control. There is however much to be improved with the design of NMC. I have various ideas about generalized namespaces, and looking to find out whether anyone is working on this.
