I am trying to figure all this out.
Please tell me if what I have written below is correct.
As I understand it you download the program to a usb.
Then you install it on a computer that will never go online.
You purchase coins online and download your current balances and coins to a usb which then you transfer to the computer that never goes online.
Your transactions and balances can be downloaded onto the usb and sent to the computer that never goes online.
Is the above anywhere near correct?
I am very interested in getting started but I want to understand the correct protocol before I do.
Thanks for helping me on this.

It all depends on how secure you want to be.

You mention "download the program to a usb", but you don't say what program you are asking about.

Are you asking about Bitcoin-Qt? Armory? bitaddress? Electrum?

Explain what you are trying to do, and you'll probably get a whole lot more useful help explaining how to do it (rather than explaining how you think you should do it, and leaving it up to all of to try and guess at what you are trying to do).

Are you drunk or something ? Please define which program you are talking about ? And if a computer never goes online how you will download the blockchain? If you do not have updated blockchain you wont be able to receive.

I turned everyone down Sad Sorry for that
