I have an early-2011 Macbook. I know that I won't be able to mine Litcoins with my Mac's GPU. But, if I get a block erupter or something would I be able to mine Litecoins on my Mac?

block erupter is for SHA256 coins: bitcoin, peercoin. Litecoins and a lot of other altcoins are using Scrypt hashing algorithm and block erupter cannot be used. Currently, no ASIC for Scrypt yet.

You can try both cpu mining and gpu mining with CGminer for mac http://spaceman.ca/cgminer/

Pick Version 3.7.2 that'S the last one supporting scrypt (Litecoin and it's clones)

Thanks for the replies. I'm trying to set it up and I'm getting this. Any ideas?
