I am renting out a room in the basement of a house. There are 4 others living in the house besides me. One nice thing about being in the basement is that it is consistently 10 degrees colder down here, and in the winter, it's downright chilly 24/7. You might actually be able to help keep me warm on those cold, winter nights
The landlord would notice. He owns several other properties. My lease agreement is good until June so I'm not sure that he could do much about it. If this concerns you, we could try a month-to-month thing to see what happens.
I turn 26 next month. I'm a graduate student at the Jane Addams college of Social Work at UIC and I work in an adult inpatient psychiatric unit at a hospital in Elgin. I plan on staying here at least until June. I will complete my MSW this school year after which I may decide to relocate depending on job opportunities.
