So i recently just got this miner yesterday and it was working fine until i decided to put pennies on it to act as heatsinks then the red light turned off i decided to rub the pennies all over it to see if it would come back on but then the green light went off now it wont work at all its not getting recognized by cgminer
please a help a noob out

why does the antminer u1 NEED a heatsink.  i thought it was like the block erupter.

Yea thats what i thought but my computer still recognizes it and it still gets warm i did see some sparks when rubbing the pennies tho
