.25BTC For a working prototype and proof you can make at least 25.

19" RackMount GPU Frame

Must Meet the following:
Mounting bracket (front and back) to fit in a standard 19" 4 post rack at 24-30" depth
4U max height
mounting plates for 2 sets of 3-4 120mm x 38mm fans
mounting equipment for 6 GPU's (With no PCIE metal brackets attached!)
*Adjustable positioning of cards/card spacing
The power supply will be a Corsair AX1200 or similar
GPU's must be on the rear of the frame facing the rear of the rack when mounted.
must have top/bottom and both sides covered with an easy to remove lid.
must have room to plug in power to the top of the GPU's and extenders to the bottom of the GPU's

It has to be made of metal.  No plastic/cardboard/etc. etc.  I can burn down the DC on my own.

Rack Specifications: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/19-inch_rack
I could send a hollowed out RSV-L4500 for reference and parts to someone who can make this exist:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147164

LMGTFY links welcomed.
Forum links welcomed.
I've found nothing that comes close to meeting these specs. Though I've been known to be late to the party.

Also interested. I made my own with aluminum tubing. You can see here...

It doesn't mount, but it sits on the provided shelves nicely.

I am sure that you have seen this....BUT its over $6k USD.

Question, Because I have been working on a rack mount design myself.

When you say (mounting equipment for 6 GPU's With no PCIE metal brackets attached!) Are you planning on taking off the metal mounting bracket from the cards?
Single PSU?
You also mention (GPU's must be on the rear of the frame facing the rear of the rack when mounted.) You intend to access the back of the cards while its in the 4 Post rack?

Thanks for answering those things.

Seen What?

Question, Because I have been working on a rack mount design myself.

I miner mod all of my gpu's:
* Remove all factory garbage thermal interface material and replace with AC5 and FujiPoly
* Remove the airflow blocker, I mean PCI bracket from the back of the card
* Place heat-sinks on all ram chips
* Etc.

Single PSU?

Yes, A Corsair AX1200 per rig

You also mention (GPU's must be on the rear of the frame facing the rear of the rack when mounted.) You intend to access the back of the cards while its in the 4 Post rack?

I have never touched/accessed a GPU after it was in production so I have no idea what you mean about my intention to access cards?  I care about airflow and space.

Thanks for answering those things.

Woodser

You are welcome.
