Well, as first step I would advice to create a telegram group for people in your area (assuming it is not yet existing - you may want to check). Make some friends. You may start in 3 or 4 people meeting for a beer or a dinner and talking crypto.

With time more people will join, at that point you can find a location that can better serve your purposes. Maybe a local association (linux user groups, open source/free software ass fans) that can provide a small conference room at low or no cost... make some noise on the socials, organize small talks/tasks and/or other activities... more people will join... and so on...

Lots are listed there. Join an existing one if you can.

I wonder do we have any meetups in Canada. I couldn't find any information about it in this section. Meetups are more active in Asia, Europe and US. Is anyone here is from Canada? Would love to have some gathering here in my region.

You must have a plan first with a topic or subject to discuss. Use facebook or even create whatsapp group and start inviting your facebook friends in your locality who understands crypto, you can then initiate a hangup at a coffee shop to talk about your topics and from there start making a periodic meetings.

Meetup.com is a good site. Also has an app and is easy to manage. It also promotes your event locally for you. Smiley

I can invite some of my friends and to talk about cryptocurrency and when I already explained it to them, they can also invite their other friends. As the people get bigger and bigger, we can organize some activities or forums that surely "ring a bell" to them. and when the activities are successful, Then in no time people would like to join the group.

To form a meeting up or conference, for me i will send a message to all the contacts in my phone, talk to other friends one on one about the conference, create a group on all the social media platforms like telegram, twitter, facebook, whatsapp and so on, i can also use the radio for adverts and announcement and before you know you have crowd of people in your conference.
