Trying to figure out which one both of them seems to be the same to be except one is more fat

can i use these for the x16 slots as well as the x1 slots?

Either is fine, I personally would go for the skinnier one for better airflow, but it may not make a difference in your case.

Yes, you can use them on x16 slots, and in fact either of those are the better of the USB riser cables to use with x16 slots. Some riser cables use micro sized USB connections on the motherboard side, and those do interfere with x16 slots a little bit.

thank you! =] i ordered the fatter one because it has 3 capacitors.
