Hello guys. I just got a GPU ASUS R9 290
I had some troubles running cgminer with different optimised settings i found on the internet (pc reset after i press q (uit) in cgminer was the most annoying).
I decided to run with default settings (memory 1250, Engine 947) without any thread concurrency tweaks. The hash speed is somewhere around 640kh/s.
(but i managed to get it up to 800).
The strange thing happens when i try to mine scrypt coins (of any kind - i tried LTC, BBQ, DOGE, FTC).. The hash speed shown in cgminer is the actual speed (640kh/s). But even after half an hour on the pools dashboard my hash speed is somewhere around 40-60khs/s.. WTH??
I have no idea why is not synced!
I tried a SHA-256 coin (PPC), and after half an hour the speed in cgminer was almost the same as on the dashboard.
Any ideas??

The intensity setting can effect how many shares you submit through pool mining depending on the difficulty of the coin.

Those pool stats are calculated based on your share rate, not your actual hashes per second.

Whats your ratio of accepted, rejected and hardware errors in cgminer?

In reality, you shouldn't be looking at hashrate. It's a good place to start, but hashrate doesn't get you anything. You should be tuning for a higher WU: rate. I would rather have 500KH/s with a high WU rate than 900KH/s with a low WU rate. Submitted shares are all that matter.

Tips? 1crazy8pMqgwJ7tX7ZPZmyPwFbc6xZKM9

Try

Intensity 20 (if u wanna use ur machine same time try something lower)
Worksize 256
Thread Concurrency 32765

Your problem might fix if u get 4gb / 8gb ram also... you got spare to try ?
