Issue with connection to BitMinter server (Please Help)

Hey I have been trying to start mining. I just got my rig and for some reason the program BitMinter seems temperamental. It works when it wants to and I would really like to let this thing run continuously. It will run for maybe 100k proofs after that it goes splat and it takes most of the day before it will work again. I keep getting;  "Communication error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host", "Warning-slow network or server. Request took...sec." or just "connection timed out". I have opened up the port for the program unless i used the wrong one.

Did anyone encounter the same issue? If so please let me know, I'd really appreciate it.
