Hello!

I downloaded and tried Multibit today, and sent over ~ BTC0.045.

I now want to send this amount, but I cannot; the 'spendable amount' is still reading BTC0.00

Anything I can do?

I appreciate any help! Smiley

Edit: it fixed itself!

This is all related to how change works:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Change

Basically, if you received BTC0.50, and then you try to send BTC0.20, you are actually sending the whole:
  • BTC0.20 to whoever you are sending
  • BTC0.30 to yourself as change

Since this is a transaction and it needs to be confirmed (approx. 10 minutes), then you need to wait to be able to spend your money again.

An economy based on endless growth is unsustainable.
