Hi,
do I have to worry about heatup sockets?
I was running 2 hashboards on s9 (one went for warranty)

Since, I am running miner un-attended, I am worried about fire.

I have some that look a little cooked like that. Are the plugs loose? In normal operation they should not be getting that hot.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

Hi

No, plugs are ok, and connected to Bitmain PSU.

What is your power source? 110/120v or 220/240V?

Have you check voltages on the PSU output to make sure they are in the proper ranges?

Mine are all on 240V (which is more efficient that 120V - reducing wattage used and amp draw on the power lines/cords) none of mine have any discoloration at all.

I fix broken miners. And make holes in teeth :-)

For a miner, one of the best investments is a little cheap IR temp gun. Point it at the plugs and check the temperature. That can save a lot in burned plugs by allowing you to snug down loose connections and find potentially overloading plugs before they burn.

As they burn up, resistance goes up which makes them even warmer. Positive feedback loop.
