ATI Terrascale Card ( PRE GCN ) and algo

Hi all
I think it can be usefull to make a point on the usage of old pre GCN card .
they seems to be capable of Hashrate on algo like cryptonight, with some tips and tricks on windows and linux setup .
Personnaly i use them on Stelitte ( cryptonight V7 xtl )

so seems near normal , it's not?

I want to compile info here ( windows and linux ), if there someway to push them more

The 7850 and 7870 are Southern Island Pitcarin GCN 1 cards and use the mainstream Adrenalin drivers on Windows. On Linux you need to use the AMD Catalyst driver, unless you enable Southern Island support in the kernel to be able to use the AMDGPU driver. With the Claymore Cryptonight miner the 7850 does ~450 H/s on Cryptonight V7.

If you got the 2GB version of those 6970 cards you can mine certain Daggerhashimoto coins like MUSIC or EXPANSE.

I think I got like 13MH/s with the 6970 mining EXP back in the day.

Only issue is to get the miner to start, you will need at least 1 other card which is at least 3GB or larger.

Like

RX 470 4GB
Radeon 6970 2GB

That should work.

Another issue is they are crazy power hungry. Will most likely use 200 Watts for those 13MH/s.
