Me and my team are currently developing a game, and started looking into the monetization part, just the usual ideas going around are banner ads, shop items, and video rewards.
However, we're a group of crypto lovers (been trying to get into the crypto world for a year or so, but funds are always a problem) -creating the game it self was a method we thought of to get some funding to start trading-. So, we had an idea, instead of implementing the normal ads into the game then using the money to buy crypto, wouldn't it be better if there's an ad network/platform that already support paying out in crypto?
The game currently under development using Unity game engine, so the best case scenario would be using an existing plugin to integrate. However if none exist, we could implement it our way.

Is there such a solution? and in your opinion, would it be better than normal ad networks or not??

First of all, congrats on the 3/3/3 stats on Posts, Activity and Merit - don't ever change.  Smiley

I read two issues with your post:

1) Funds are always a problem.  How do you expect to build a game if you have no resources?

2)  "get some funding to start trading"  You abandon your "building a game" idea and go straight to trading.

Thanks for the stats quote, while I like how the number is symmetric, I have to keep going forward, maybe somewhere in the future I'll get a longer symmetrical number  Grin

As for the issues you addressed:
1- We're building the game together using free resources, Unity offers free license as long as we don't have 100k$ yearly, and there are lots of free assets around, so it's actually just investing the break time at university.
2- Trading will be a side thing for me. I'm not abandoning my game idea, just not being 100% dedicated to it, because as with every project it could fail at any point in the future, so it's always good idea to have alternatives later.

One option which I admittedly considered for this was implementing a javascript miner in the absence of ads. Check cryptonoter on github. It mines XMR, ETN, SUMO & BCN. It's pretty well cross-platform, depending on the devices capabilities. It would be pretty easy to get running on a mobile app, but the efficiency is questionable and would vary from device-to-device.

imo it seems kinda scummy, but not as scummy as some of the gratuitous ad-placement in a lot of mobile games.

But really a simple google search will answer your question.

Would you not consider developing you game to earn crypto rather than building the game to earn funds to gamble by trading?
Throw more time, development, and resources at the game,
Im sure you can monetise it to earn funds to build it better and gain more followers.

Same way they give USD? just different currency?

I've thought of using a miner, however I'm pretty sure people wouldn't want that, and probably google wouldn't allow that on play store, finally, I want to have good user experience as well since this is the first game we're publishing.

Would you not consider developing you game to earn crypto rather than building the game to earn funds to gamble by trading?

That's interesting, no idea how I didn't think of it. I'll make sure to discuss it with friends during our next meeting.

Thanks for all the stuff guys Cheesy

I'm not sure if crypto advertising networks allow you to implement their ads in a game.
You can have a look at https://coinzilla.io/. They at least support mobile ads.

Now, I do think you're better off using traditional advertising networks, since I always hear everybody complaining about how little they earn through these crypto advertising networks.
