You are right for once ~BCX~, bitcoin is beyond help. Even AUR can not help bitcoin.
There are no barriers to entry into crypto-currencies. Bitcoin prices are trending towards LTC prices. LTC prices are trending to DOGE prices, and DOGE prices are trending to the cost of mining a DOGE. It is the platform, not the currency, that will survive and create value.

I think you are right, the Auroracoin phenomena is introducing many new people to cryptocurrency, and that will naturally lead them to getting involved with bitcoin as well. You'd think he'd be pleased.

This crypto world is not about mathematical equation. People who understand them are already in. Those are IT crowd, early adopters, people who like to spend a lot time on the internet.

What we need are casuals. Bitcoin is not casual enough. ATMs are a big step towards them and so is Aurora. I see many posts in Icelandic asking how can they set up wallet, how can they mine. Those people will talk about this with others. That is what we need.

Strong Auroracoin is in interest of anyone holding bitcoins.

i think auroracoin can only help bitcoin. it is getting the idea of crypto out to the world or iceland so hopefully more icelandic people start using crypto witch in return brings more people to bitcoin?
