I have spent WAY too much at the Apple Store and bought WAY TOO MANY Apple products. In fact, I've purchased every Apple product and multiple of some, over the years. Yes - every. Every iPhone, every iPad, iPod, Mac, Macbook, Apple TV, you name it. I've made apps for the App Store.
I was just about to purchase the new "coffee can" Mac Pro when this whole thing happened with Apple and Bitcoin. That changed everything for me. I realized that I've given that company way too much of my money. Speaking to a friend of mine he convinced me to walk away from the "coffee can" and to build my own. So that's what I'm doing - and I'm paying for it with bitcoin.
I selected everything that I wanted for the computer from this site (thanks to my friend for the link):
http://www.tonymacx86.com/406-building-customac-buyer-s-guide-january-2014.htmlThen I filled up my Amazon shopping cart with my selections.
Then I went to Gyft - on the browser of my iPhone, just to spite Apple - and purchased Amazon gift cards, paying with Bitcoin through the Blockchain app.
Then I went back to Amazon and paid for my order. It should arrive (thank you Amazon Prime) on Tuesday. That's when I'll build my hackintosh monster!
It cost me a total of 3.7 BTC.
(That's before my addition of BFL Monarch cards, when they start shipping in a few months...)
Now excuse me while I go get an android :-)
