Well, I have about .5 BCT to spend to build a mining rig (currently using 1x netbook, 1x laptop, and 1x iMac) I have a mini-itX case coming gratis from holiday giftcard. I was eyeballing http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7839117&sku=A455-8801, since I'm kind of locked into SFF, and I can salvage ram from my netbook, maybe throw a 270k in it with a 400W PSU from an old computer.. any ideas? Only using tiger direct since they take BTC..

Leaving no room for growth, I see. You can buy a mobo that can support 5 cards for the price of this that can only support 1.

But don't take my word... I don't even know what I'm looking at. I only know how to count the PCI-e slots.

There are aesthetic concerns, and ridiculous amounts of dust produced in TX prevent me from using an open air system. I was thinking that in about 6 months I might have enough BTC off this to build newer and bigger. 6 Months might give me a whole BTC at 450kH/s, not sure.

You can cover the rig with some plexiglass to mitigate the dust, lol, jk. If it were me, I wouldn't that much for board that will only run one card. Have you checked newegg?

I wish they took BTC, but alas, they don't =( I seriously do NOT have cash on hand for parts.

He wants to buy only from Tigerdirect, since they take bitcoin..

I would go with this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3858040&CatId=7248

Would give you 4 slots.. for upgrading to more cards down the road for less than the price you are looking at with the mini ATX motherboard.

If you MUST have a case and want to go cheap then: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5401115&CatId=1509

You want a case with a side fan to keep the GPU's cool. You can run up to two GPU's in a standard case without much issue if you have a side fan and undervolt the GPU's.

CRAP, nm.. forgot.. yeah, I'll wait and go with newegg, my case won't be here for 2 weeks anyway, and that'll give me time to get another .015 BTC.
