I want to buy a scrypt coin mining rig around March 20th. I want to try to spend around 2K for the rig but will allow myself to go up to 3K tops. If I were to spend 2K on a rig would I still be able to make a RoI in mining scrypt coins such as doge or litecoin or other alt coins? What if i spent 3K on a rig? Also what kind of equipment could I expect to be getting? I hear this talk about ASICs for scrypt mining coming out soon and that worries me about being able to make a RoI within a reasonable time (~4/5/6months?). Currently I just mine with my two 7850s over night/atwork because thats all I put into my gaming rig. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It has been said that scrypt ASICS are nothing more than vaporware, If you love gaming, and want to use bit coin as an excuse to build an awesome powerhouse computer, then DO IT! If you do not love gaming, and if after bitcoin becomes unprofitable you just plan on dumping the GPUs on ebay for fractional value, then I would recommend against it. 1st rule of business, don't be left holding the bag, when the music stops. (BOOyah! mixin' my metaphors)
