In what way? I don't see how they can be related. Do you mean being decentralized?

First it needs to be established whether bitcoin "solves" finance - the problems around finance are IMO too complicated to be solved by a relatively simple approach. It is even unclear whether there is a solution at all, as different ways of handling finance will appeal to different people, so there probably is no single correct solution.
The same is true for all the other problem areas. "Solving" them in general is not possible. You might find solutions for very specific problems of very specific groups within these areas, but very often these "solutions" create new problems elsewhere or for other groups, and whether the whole system is better overall is entirely unclear.

Yeah i dont quite know in what way i mean, if it is the qualities of decentralization which make bitcoin awesome then yeah i guess i mean that.

So can we have a decentralized housing system? what would that even mean? no estate agents?

So bitcoin might just benefit certain groups, hmmm it kinda does with early adopters.  I'd like to think society will be better with rich bitcoiners vs the current elites though.

However look @ how some rich bitcoiners behave  - MtGox CEO for instance seems to really not care about customers or at least it feels this way.   So they/he is just as bad as any other fiat elite?
